A Future Savannah Wedding: Meet Paul and Lindsey

DSC00241

Paul Swift and Lindsey Harless

Date Engaged:

March 22, 2011

Where did you meet?

We met through two of our good friends Christie Walden (Maid of Honor) and Joe Sanders at college (Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA)

How did he propose?

I picked up the ring on Monday  and could not wait to give it to Lindsey. I lied to Lindsey so I could go get it. After getting the ring I couldn't wait to give it to her. The next day I came up with a scheme for a picnic. I went and scooped out Flat Rock Park for the perfect place during my lunch break. After being a train wreck all day at work I ran through Public's getting supplies for the picnic. While shopping Lindsey called saying she was already leaving work, an hour early. At this point I decided that I would just try and hid the picnic supplies in my truck and go pick her up. After getting to the park we walked down the the "spot" and I asked Lindsey to pick me out a fishing lure, where I had the ring hiding amongst my flies. Of course Lindsey found her "lure" automatically.

When is your wedding date?

Nov 5, 2011 (Bride's father's Birthday)

Why did you pick the area you are getting married in?

We LOVE Savannah and Tybee Island. When we saw the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel we knew that was the perfect place to get married.

Where do you reside now?

Columbus, GA

Anything interesting or out of the ordinary you are including in your wedding day?

Nothing out of the ordinary. Plan on having a remembrance candle for our Grandparents that have passed on.

Coolest and Most Oringial Save the Date Idea

Recently, one of our clients Jamie and Jonah who are getting married in Savannah in the fall, made this incredible save the date. Our clients are always trying to stretch the limits and go outside of the box and we have to say that to date, this was by far one of the most innovative and catchy "Save the Dates" we have seen and HAD TO SHARE! What do you think?

Wedding Style with Stella & Dot Jewelry

Hi everyone, I’m Kristen. As a past bride working with Morgan Gallo Events, I had so much fun planning and styling my wedding! One of the most exciting parts of the wedding prep is deciding on what to wear—from the dress and the shoes to the jewelry! Finishing your look—those final touches and details—is really what can make an impression and tie the look of your entire wedding together. My love of jewelry and the perfect details led me to become a Stylist with Stella and Dot. As a Stylist I get to try on jewelry, hang out with friends during trunk shows… it’s perfect!

How will you style your wedding look? Stella and Dot has plenty of options! And… you can earn FREE jewelry by hosting a trunk show (the average hostess earns about $250 in free jewelry). What a fabulous option for a bride to be! Wedding jewelry… bridesmaids gifts… honeymoon bling!? YES PLEASE!

Now for some of my own suggestions and recommendations

Are you going for a classic look? Go for pearls!

(the Pearl and Pave Rope Necklace; Fresh Water Pearl Dangles; La Coco Silver Pearl Strand; Vintage Starburst Brooch which can clip right onto the La Coco Silver Pearl Strand!)

You can also go for pearls with more drama...

(the Sofia Pearl Bib Necklace; Pearl Bouquet Earrings; Charlotte Statement Necklace; Grace Pearl Bauble Bracelet)

Add some bling to your pearls or just in general!

Next week, I will recommend some great ideas for your bridal party!

All of the jewelry shown here (and SO much more!) can be found at www.stelladot.com/kristenfreeman. Take a look at my website, shop, and find more information on hosting a Stella and Dot trunk show! If you need help or have any questions don’t hesitate to . Have fun with your jewelry! Finish your look according to who you are and the perfect look for your wedding. Love your look—your beauty and confidence will shine through on your day… and your glow will last beyond your honeymoon!

Ford Plantation Wedding: Savannah and Joe Part 1-Ceremony

Savannah and Joe were married on the historic Ford Plantation in November of last year. The weather was perfect, the location was breath-taking and the couple…so in love! Savannah and Joe wanted their wedding to reflect their unique style and tastes. These two are such free spirited and family oriented people and we made sure we never lost sight of that while planning. Savannah was married in her traditional gown (pictured in the first photo on the left) and would later change for the reception in her more flirty dress with a purple sash. LOVE LOVE LOVE. The ceremony took place at the front of the Ford Plantation home under majestic oaks and endless green……a perfect backdrop to exchange their wedding vows.
Thanks to Chia and Hon Photography for the images. Stay tuned tomorrow for Part 2-The Portraits

In honor of our past Military Spouses!

Wedding Tim and Mo 267

As a military spouse myself, I know first hand the difficult sacrifice that our spouses give their soldiers and country. Just like myself, many of our clients plan weddings while their soldiers are across the seas and I cannot express how difficult that is emotionally and logistically. With that said, there is no amount of gratitude or words that would justify the thank you we have for your service…it is immeasurable and often forgotten. XOXOXOXO
