Feature Savannah Wedding:Kaitlin and Patrick

Kaitlin Coffey &Patrick Hughes

Date Engaged
September 17, 2011

Where did you meet?

Patrick and Kaitlin met on MLK Day 2009 at a small get together in college.  They were brought together by some mutual friends and after a long night of Pictionary and awkward silence they finally spoke for about five minutes.  They did not see eh other or speak again until some time later at a friends Super Bowl party.  Crammed on an end of a couch with the worst view of the game they were forced to speak again and when the post game episode of The Office premiered they quickly discovered they had a similar taste in comedy.Later that evening, as Patrick was walking Kaitlin to her car (technically for a ride), they found that her car had been broken into.  Needless to say this got the couple talking much more and after a long night of police reports, sarcastic jokes and taping up Kaitlin's car window, she finally dropped Patrick off at his apartment.Another week went by and after much harassment from his friends, Patrick finally asked Kaitlin out on an official date.  On the date he cooked her  favorite foods, French Onion Soup and Banana Pudding, and she even picked out his favorite movie to watch without even being asked.  Two dates later,on March 4, 2009, they were officially a couple and have been ever since!

How did he propose?
When the ball in Times Square dropped and 2011 began, it did not take Patrick long to realize what his New Years resolution would be.  He quickly began planning and scheming his proposal making multiple visits a week to the jewelry store and discussing a trip not to be forgotten with his friends. In September of 2011 Kaitlin, Patrick and a group of close friends made their way down to Orlando, Florida for a fun filled week at Disney World.  After a long day at the Magic Kingdom, Kaitlin and Patrick stood by a rose garden near Cinderella's Castle to watch the fireworks go off.  As the song"When You Wish Upon a Star"  began to play Patrick got down on one knee and popped the question.  Obviously if you reading this site you should know that her answer was YESSS!

When is your wedding date?
September 29, 2012

Why did you pick the area you are getting married in?
We chose to get married at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist because it has been the church that Patrick and his family have attended for years.  I could not think of a more beautiful church to get married in.

Where do you reside now?
Currently I am residing in Augusta, Georgia and Patrick is living in Savannah, Georgia due to our jobs.  We have been in a long distance relationship for about a year and a half now.  We could not be more excited to get married and finally live in the same town again!

We cannot wait for your big day!!! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of it Kaitlin and Patrick.
xoxo,

Celebrity Inspiration: Kirsten Dunst in Derek Lam

celeb1016.003

Dress, Rag & Bone; Belt, B-low the Belt; Shoes, BHLDN; Earrings, Gretchen Jones for Piperlime; Bag, BHLDN.

Calling all insanely hip brides!! This Derek Lam gown on Kirsten is AH-mazing. I love the modern lines and the sheer the simplicity. I love how the gown fits enough to show off her shape without being skin tight. Her hair and makeup are perfect for this look because they give it a youthful edge. Keep accessories to a minimum, but the ones you do wear should be interesting and whimsical. This is great for a city bride who really want to stand out. I think a short version is even sassier add a funky tassel belt and you are so ready to go. I love how delicate the earrings are while the shape is still so rock star.

Real Tybee Wedding: Lindsey and Paul Part 2- Reception

Since Lindsey and Paul wanted to use this fabulous venue for both the ceremony and reception (and wouldn’t you?) we quickly turned over the chapel while the guests were enjoying their cocktails outside. The dancing was endless, the smiles were contagious and when it was time to leave, they exited on a pedicab to start their life as the new Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey and Paul, it was such an honor and pleasure to share in your day. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of it!

Real Tybee Wedding: Lindsey and Paul Part 1-Ceremony and Portraits

Lindsey and Paul were such a breath of fresh air! These two love birds were married on Tybee Island last fall (though you wouldn't know it from the weather—it was beautiful!) at the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel. You have to love the the first look in the chapel…how cute are they? _9584883155_8404650392 _6620148526_7883173738_3036610235_0891544229_1974940220_9621712724_9326928477_9758751548

Celebrity Inspiration: Gwyneth Paltrow in Stella McCartney

morecelebrity.002 Dress, Calvin Klein; Shoes, Steve Madden; Clutch, Alexander McQueen; Ring, soo lhn Kim.

I swear G.Palts is ageless. I seriously measure all fashionistas to her. She’s a genius. She knows fashion, she knows food... her polenta with fresh corn recipe is insane!!! Love it. And I love this look, not just because she’s fabulous, but because it’s elongating properties. This style will make even the tiniest of petite look supermodel tall!! I love the simplicity of the CK gown with the super easy satin pumps. It’s just timeless. Add a funky chunky ring and a rad clutch and you are golden... And I know that I went a little overboard with the two thousand dollar Alexander McQueen clutch, but I mean, come on!!! It’s perfect for this look and I’m sorta obsessed with it... and I would graciously accept it as a gift.

Real Savannah Wedding: Andrea and Matthew Part 3-Reception

Here is Andrea and Matthew’s vintage Ships of the Sea reception with wine themed details. (LOVE the wine barrel whiskey bar, wine bottle numbers, and cork place cards.) The dessert table was a collaborative effort from family members who made some of the couples’ favorite goodies! More importantly, these two were surrounded by their many friends and family on the dance floor all night! There was no shortage of tears, laughter and memories this night and were honored to be a part of it! Here is to many more years of marital bliss! Thank you again to Jade and Matthew Take Pictures for these incredible images. Savannah Wedding (80)
